Subject: Installer crashes Sun Sep 02, 2012 7:55 pm
I have tried several times downloading, copying to blank DVD and installing DescentIOS 3.0; every time I do the installer crashes prior, to completely installing. I have tried using the whole hard drive, setting up partitions but nothing works. Pity I can't install it because it looks quite good and interesting. Please tell me what the fix for this is. THANK YOU! in advance.

I'm still trying to find a fix at the moment, but from what I've heard (I've never witnessed it myself, which sucks because I really want to know exactly what's wrong) it might be an issue when grub tries to install. I will keep you posted when I'm actually able to get to chrooting into it and figuring out just what the issue is. If anyone else feels like squashing this bug while I'm still mostly unavailable, then feel free to go and try!

I've updated Descent|OS to 3.0.1. From the testing I have done, it seems that the installer issue has been fixed. Feel free to try it out!
