Descent is most definitely one of the best distros I have installed for some time. There are however a couple of things to consider. One is specific and the other more general.
Specifically, and despite the obvious demands on personal time elsewhere, it is very important to at least acknowledge forum posts and respond timely to support requests. I appreciate many users don't look beyond their noses for answers but others will soon move on to another distro if they feel neglected.
Generally, one of the most recurring complaints I get is about the untidy nature of tray icons. Launch icons can of course be customized and spaced at will, but the others pose more of a challenge. Cinnamon and KDE provide a much better experience and although to many this might seem like a trivial argument, it does nevertheless put a lot of folks off.
If a way can be found to make these icons look more consistent it would be a bonus.
